Pont Neuf – AG Offices

Scope

Closing the circle, the AG workplace concept returns to Brussels, at 17 Rue Pont Neuf, just steps from the headquarters and home to the AG Campus. What began with a pilot floor on the third level has now come to completion, with the remaining four floors delivered, bringing the project to its conclusion.

Design Approach

The already tested concepts and principles guiding the spatial strategy were kept and slightly adjusted to correspond to each floor.
A few targeted updates were made based on feedback gathered in two years of use, with the aim of creating overall coherence and improving comfort for everyone.

Following the mood established on the pilot floor, the soft-toned palette builds on a familiar mix of natural pine wood and rattan details, complemented by a newly introduced subtle tone for the curtains. Accents of blue, found in the chairs and bespoke seating elements, are paired with vibrant art interventions that engage employees in an ongoing visual dialogue.

A Structured Flow

The corner building, facing both the street and the interior courtyard/campus area, is organized around two large cores at the center of each wing, spanning nearly the full width and effectively dividing the floorplate into three distinct zones.

Along the cores, a dedicated focus area features a striking row of vista desks, while the central zone is further completed with a balanced mix of meeting rooms and focus booths, ensuring easy access for all teams located along the façades. The informal Generation area is split across both wings, acting as a buffer for the workspaces and providing direct accessibility and a welcoming arrival on each side of the building.

Art Integration

Four artists contributed their own visual languages, drawing on influences from street art and graffiti, with interventions that introduce a sense of movement and color, turning the walls into living, open narratives.

The 1st floor is marked by the fluid lines of SIMO, blending realism and abstraction in an exploration of contemporary urban life and human connection. On the 2nd floor, Sammy Slabbinck intrigues with playful pieces that mix vintage and found imagery with the building’s architecture in surreal collages.

The 4th floor comes alive with the colors of Blancbec, who creates a series of vibrant botanical frescoes, while the 5th floor is touched by the Brussels-based duo 10eme Élément, whose playful visual universe brings together animals, plants, cityscapes, and people in bold, naïve compositions.
