AG Workplace Concept
REinventing the workplace
For AG we created an overall concept that is built on a clear structure, adaptable to context, architecture and client demands. It fosters inclusivity and comfort, while encouraging variety and a sense of movement – a workspace where people can be themselves with others. Visual connections between teams and colleagues is capital in order to keep the collective flow of energy. Adaptability and multifunctionality create a buffer for a creative interpretation of space. With soft tones, natural materials, a subtle yet clear light scenography and carefully studied acoustic solutions, we provide a feeling of coziness and familiarity. Users pick their place based on their activity and their mood, ergonomy works for the mind, as well as for the body.
A sustainable and environment-respectful approach in the choice of finishes and execution of details completes the base of our design intent.

Whilst a reinvention of space is translated into design, it implies a challenge in the way space is perceived and used, a shift in terms of habits and dynamics. Blurred boundaries and diversity are at the core of the generic layout we created. Nevertheless, subtle transitions mark different typologies and guide the users towards a natural appropriation of space, according to their needs. As such, a fluid mix of collaborative, calm, agile and more intimate areas is proposed. Three main configurations stand out: Team Space, Collective Space and informal space, which we named Generations.
Generations
GENERATION /dʒɛnəˈreɪʃ(ə)n/ a single step in natural descent, as of human beings, animals, or plants. The production of energy in a particular form
Disconnecting, recharging, or simply enjoying a cup of coffee alone or with others – this is the birth moment of ideas, when intentions get set in place and take shape. Creating the context for breath, break, inspiration and socializing was the main goal of Generations. A space accessible from the moment we enter, a space that is crossed daily and lives with the motion, where a lounge setting can become a forum for spontaneous meetings or more official events. Coffee flavored and properly equipped for a variety of social scenarios.

Team Space
Team space is where users spend most of their working day, and so, our intention focused on creating a more balanced employee experience, on increasing the interaction between colleagues and boosting a sense of belonging. Multi typologies provide the team with a wide array of choice and possibilities when it comes to using the most suitable setting for an individual activity: from ergonomic desks to vista tables or high seated fixtures, from focus booths to communal tables, where a certain level of interaction is attainable and a personalization of individual setting is right at hand with a toolbox specifically designed.

Collective Space
Brainstorming, confidential discussion, quick briefings, teamwork and the launching of new ideas – collaboration sustains the fundamental need of sharing and interaction we all have, first as humans and then as part of a daily work routine. Providing the right frame for an intelligent and creative collaboration experience was our goal. The meeting rooms are spread strategically throughout the team areas, so that they are never out of reach. Comfort, agile, standing, small or large, with their various sizes and uses the collective spaces complement the individual workplaces whilst creating buffers around informal areas.

Art Intervention
Complementing the neutral and delicate palette of materials, a touch of authenticity – reflected in murals or installations – is integrated in informal areas, inspiring a moment of contemplation. The chosen pieces come from young artists based in Belgium and talk about the relation between city and building, investing each project with identity drawn from its local sources.
