THE MICRO-MARKET, CONVENIENCE EVERYWHERE

Heavily impacted by the pandemic and the changing office habits, catering companies seek ways to offer better and more flexible solutions. Discover MERCADO, an innovative office mini-market concept developed by NCBHAM.
These cashier-less mini-markets bring convenience to customers, allowing them to buy the necessary products frictionless at any time. No store staff is required until the shelves need to be restocked, therefore bringing economic optimization to retailers.
An adaptable solution offering new amenities for the office and public building users.

Specific space strategies and technologies need to be implemented to optimize these digital self-service stores:

  • Payment solutions and self-check-out terminals
  • Anti-theft technology
  • Efficient ERP for assortment optimization and inventory management
  • Modular storage elements.

THE DESIGN GUIDELINES

We have imagined a system based on a grid adjustable to any kind of space. Different pre-defined modules can be placed according to the desired functions. These modules can be fully refurbished offering a sustainable approach to new design and spatial requirements.

THE LOGO

The atmosphere of village markets and neighborhood grocery stores inspired the design of the logo. We wanted to bring back the notion of authenticity within a modern and technological space.

That’s why the logo takes the shape of a convenience store awning and evokes these local businesses and the particular ambiance that emanates from them.
