Ayuryoga: the conversion of a chapel into a wellness center
The conversion of a chapel into a wellness center
When the founders of Ayuryoga came across an old chapel near Gent, they knew they had found the perfect spot for their wellness center.
They wished to create an exceptional environment, reflecting the yogic and ayurvedic philosophies.
Both of these put an emphasis on leading a balanced life.
A life in harmony with nature.
We applied that philosophy throughout every space and in every detail, from materiality to lighting.
We engaged in close collaboration with the Ayuryoga team. With them, we created a uniquely immersive and soothing experience infused throughout all spaces.
From the restaurant bar and the hotel rooms to the relaxation pool, Ayuryoga offers the ultimate spa experience.
Ayuryoga wellness center offers an exclusive yoga room inside the chapel nave. It also has a vegetarian restaurant and a spa center.
The latter boasts a relaxing pool, sauna & hammam and five unique hotel rooms.
All of them are inspired by the five ayurvedic seasons.
