Fountain Plaza, where energy flows
Befimmo entrusted ncbham with creating the socializing spaces of Fountain Plaza, an office building complex.
A new high-quality hospitality experience providing the building's occupants with a restaurant, a coffee bar, a fitness center and a small meeting center.
Starting from a very rational and linear environment, we created a space offering a more intuitive journey, with different and diversed atmospheres and experiences: a central bar and high chairs for a dynamic short stay at the coffee corner, bespoke seating and warm lighting in the two restaurant areas for a comfortable lunch and a more intimate lounge environment for private lunches or heads-down work throughout the day.
Empowering the experience of a modern restauration type, the open kitchen offers a view into the gastronomical performance.
A living heart
Existing concrete was complemented by softer additions such as wood, coloured metal and graphical elements while colours and lines dance in unison, breaking down and rejoining in each areas. The restaurant's name, Källa, its visual identity and the three frescoes painted by Collectif Propaganza a Brussels artist collective, amplify the metaphorical aquatic experience.
With water as a key design feature, carefully chosen shades of blue and green complement concrete, wood and metal elements. Just as the space extends horizontally towards the terraces, it also grows vertically thanks to the timber panels, the metallic partitions, and the furniture selection, reminiscent of the water flow while generating a vibrant perspective of height.
The gym fully reflects the identity of the project in colours and space management, while materiality is adapted to underline its different function.
Wood becomes the protagonist and creates a liaison between the restaurant and the two meeting rooms, recreating a game of transparency and verticality.
